Nov 25 2008 4:03 pmMead, it is great. We made it the summer I lived in Jordan. Tasted lovely.
I am surprised you haven’t had more on the list! Better get drinking!

Nov 25 2008 4:08 pmWell, it comes down to there being a bunch of things I really don’t have much interest on that list. Rum, for example, has never been high on my list. Same with sherry. But! I will do this, for the experiment!

Nov 25 2008 4:22 pmYou’ll find the rum drinks, from screech to pusser’s navy etc. will open you up to a world of hooch really only approached by the variation in wine. I’m surprised none of the source rums..products of a single distillery one finds in the caribbean made the list. Most of the beers you haven’t had are locally around, and most taste like, well, lambic.
Frankly, Remi, I’m surprised. Not that there’s many you’ve not had, not at several of the more obscure ones you have had, and not at the relatively easy ones you’re short. No, I’m surprised you and Stefan didn’t decide to have them all on Friday.

Nov 25 2008 4:33 pmI think you’ll find that the list isn’t so much about the top 100 *best* libations out there, but rather a wide array of different and strange choices. (Just like the Omnivore 100.) Hence the inclusion of cough syrup.
And Stefan doesn’t drink, so I totally blame him for me not having had the drinking options I so well deserved on our podcast!
