#SpoCOOL: Weekend Eats #1: Cafe Neo Click it!

It’s back, and it’s bad-ass… It’s the return of the Weekly Roundup! And what better way to kick it off than with a new feature…

Weekend Eats: Cafe Neo

With Weekend Eats we hope to come up with some slightly out of the ordinary suggestions — e.g. something other than Mizuna or Latah Bistro — where to try a meal this weekend. And why not kick it off with Cafe Neo, the quasi-new Northside spot. Let’s face it, there aren’t that many non-chain restaurants up north, and thus I give strong support to those who try something a bit different.

Cafe Neo might not be Restaurant of the Year material, but it is still a place anybody with interest in local dining options should check out. The food is good, the service fine, and the place is overall a good spot to stop by if you live up north, or if you’re up there checking out plasmas at Best Buy.

Address: 10208 N Division.

Bitch away

If you are one of those people who are burning to give your input about the Spokane restaurant scene, here’s your chance. Chef David Blaine (no relations) and a bundle of local area chefs are set to meet and discuss the Spokane restaurant scene, and they want your input. This is your chance to be Gordon Ramsay and start your own Kitchen Nightmare.

Review of the week: Sante

I’ll be honest here. When we received this review we printed it out and read it out loud in sarcastic voices. Actually, no we didn’t, but we were surprised to see a negative review of Sante. And as this review is so against the wind, yet doesn’t claim Cathay Inn is awesome, we name it the review of the week!

Ahhhh, I’ve finslly found you! And what is the “Bathroom Chronicles?” Sounds ingenious because I can’t wait to poop on this site. I don’t know what it is about toilet humor but it never loses its touch and dissing the “Cathay Inn” has got me down in the dumps. Their variety of sauces are so sweeeeet. I love it. It hasn’t been that sweet since Hawaii 89 when my family buried me in sand feet first and put my drink in front of me knowing damn well that I couldn’t reach it. Sand and coconut milk gave me the closest thing to a full beard I’ll ever have, and I thank them for that.
